Yellowstone Park is such a great place to view animals- four wolves, 10 grizzly bears, 13 black bears, 12 moose, 8 coyotes, 2 beaver plus mountain sheep, mountain goats, elk, antelope, deer, and lots of bison and their new calves. The rivers are running fast and muddy and the streams have turned into lakes. So warm, sunny and green. Beautiful birds too- prairie falcon, osprey, and red tailed hawk, sandhill cranes and varieties of ducks.
Fantastic viewing of 4 grizzly bears, 2 black bears, and 9 wolves - 8 of them from the Slough Pack. Bison and calves were plentiful, elk, white tail deer, antelope, big horn sheep are everywhere. Saw only one coyote. Red tail hawks, osprey, sandhill cranes, blue birds and many other small birds are enjoying the spring weather.
We enjoyed a fabulous weekend in Yellowstone Park watching 26 wolves- 16 of the Druid pack, 8 of the Mollies pack which put on a beautiful howling show, one lost pup from the Slough pack and one unknown wolf. We saw 3 grizzly bears, 1 of which was feeding on a carcass and then leaving it to the Druid pack to feed on- it was amazing to watch. We saw 19 coyotes, about 75 antelope and deer and 50 big horned sheep. A thousand elk from the Hellroaring overlook was quite a sight. Hundreds of bison throughout the Lamar Valley. The trumpeter swans are coming into the park and they are so beautiful-we saw about a hundred.
