We were greeted with a colorful sunrise at Duraven Pass. We viewed two mating black bears near the Yellowstone Picnic area close to the road. We saw 4 wolves at Slough Creek. In Lamar Valley at the Institute we viewed 1 black bear with 2 cubs, and 2 separate grizzly bears. At Footbridge we stopped in the road while 2 black and 2 gray wolves crossed the road. Another gray wolf was howling at the other side of the road. What a great viewing. We saw a blonde grizzly bear. Good viewing of a black bear near the petrified tree turn off. A bull moose was standing in the pond at floating island eating greenery from the pond. We saw Rosie and her cub at Gut Road. They were quick to head into the trees. It is a beautiful warm day. Saw 2 bull elk with beautiful antlers in velvet.

Can you believe it is snowing in Yellowstone Park today? At the higher elevations we saw 4- 6 inches of snow. Dunraven Pass is closed due to avalanche danger. We saw a cute cinnamon colored black bear by the side of the road in Mammoth. It stayed there and ate grass while we took video from the car. We had a great viewing day as we watched a wolf pack chasing elk in Lamar Valley. We watched as the elk chased them back to keep them away from their calves. A grizzly bear joined the hunt looking through the sage brush. One of the wolves had a elk calf head in his mouth and headed back to the den. We saw 2 grizzly bears, 3 black bears, 1 moose, 12 wolves, 5 coyotes, and 2 newborn antelope fawns.
