We had a wonderful day at Yellowstone Park. Antelope Creek was a great place to view 10 grizzly bears and 4 wolves. We saw a total of 12 grizzlies and one black bear.
The day was beautiful and warm with a pleasant cool down and light rain shower.
The elk were mainly along the Madison and there were a lot of bison in both Lamar and Hayden valley.
We are in Estes Park Colorado this week and had the opportunity to drive into Rocky Mountain National Park several times. We saw beautiful elk and deer. We also saw a large group of elk outside of the park right along the road and parking lot in Estes Park. We were able to get quite close and there were about 20 calves.
We left Idaho Falls at 2:40 and arrived at the Yellowstone Park entrance at 4:40.
We started the morning early and was greeted by a coyote along the Madison River. There are patches of fog through the park and the sunrise is colorful. It had rained the night before and everything looked moist and green and had a fresh, clean fragrance.
