As we were driving through Swan Valley we spotted four bald eagles standing on the ground amongst the sagebrush- what an interesting sight.

It is a beautiful day at the Elk Reserve in Jackson Hole Wyoming. We saw a dozen swan on a lake. The big horn sheep were up on the rocks and a herd of the elk were on the east side again with a few bison mixed in. Five coyotes were in the field nearby.

At Gros Venture we saw 4 moose and one coyote.

To our amazement we saw a wolf! It was standing on top of a little hill silhouetted against the sky and Alvin got a wonderful snapshot.

We stopped and visited Al and Carol Parker for a couple of minutes – the owners of The Anvil Motel and wonderful restaurant- Nani’s.

On the way home we saw a large herd of elk south of town down by the river and in the trees.

We saw 32 mountain goats on our way to Alpine. It is amazing to watch even the young goats on the very peaks of the rocky ledges.
